Leaders as Change Agents...

People change when they hurt so badly that they have to, or when they hope so passionately that they want to. Pain and passion produce change. Leaders therefore create an appetite for change in others by stirring discontent about current reality (what is), then communicating an ideal future state in such a way that inspires others to alter the status quo (what should be).
