Leadership Takes More Than It Gives

Leadership is not a primary way to have needs for acceptance, achievement, or significance met. In fact, if you try to meet needs this way, you’ll be greatly disappointed. That’s because leadership—true leadership—is more about imparting to others than receiving for self. It takes more than it gives. Find your identity in something much more secure and lasting than what you achieve as a leader.
